I'm new to the area of restoring tractors, so my questions may sound trivial. I just got done getting a 1938 F-20 running again, and I had a couple of things that I was wondering about. First, what weight oil should I run in the oil bath air filter? I have heard 30 wt, but also had heard it was critical to get it right, so I ask. Second, I am having a little difficulty with my magneto. It seems to be grounding out when the spark advance lever is in the "run" position all the way down. Mine is set up that up is off, and down is run. This corresponds to a clockwise rotation of the cup on the mag for run. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
