You could have an intake manifold leak, but you said in an earlier post you had a good vacuum when placing your hand over the Carb to choke the engine. Have you soaked the carb in a good cleaner? That would remove the gummy deposits
and then blow out the fuel passages with air. Your float is what acts as the fuel shutoff and the float valve. Any foreign substance such as dirt or gummy gas residue can cause this flooding. Make sure the float isn't leaking. Shake it to see if it has gas in it. They do get pin holes in them and this causes them to sink. When that happens the gas isn't being shutoff. Hal
