All the ports (two on left, one on right are hooked together inside and apply pressure when the control rod is pulled out, hold pressure when the rod is hooked on the little tab on the rod, and releases pressure back into the liftall when pushed in all the way. The rear port on the left was to be used with a restrictor to allow sequential lowering of equipment. (almost none have a restrictor, it is a fitting on the elbow)
The pressure is between 600, and 11-1200 psi. JimN
