It's not live hydraulics. The power from the pump (the brand name is "Liftall") comes back from the transmission; if the clutch pedal is depressed the pump's not pumping. Takes some getting used to. All three outlets are supplied from the same source - the one lever works them all. The one on the right and the front one on the left move first and when the cylinders they're pushing reach their limit a (similar to a relief) valve opens to supply the rear outlet on the left. Anything more complicated you have to add valves and plumbing. Some people add a spool valve on one of the outlets and keep the lever pulled back for a steady flow. If you want to get a really in depth explanation IH published an excellent manual for the Liftall unit. You can get one from the good people here at YTMag. http://www.ytmag.com/cgi-bin/store/mansrch.pl Good luck with your H, Wm
