Farmall Sediment Bowls

Asked once before but didn't get a response so will test your memories again. Have two different H manuals, one that shows the sediment bowl on a dual fuel machine installed on the main fuel tank, another showing it reversed and installed on the smaller starting tank. Have seen pictures in the Pitorial History Book showing what appears to be both installations as well. Can anyone tell me why the change or logic behind altering the location of the sediment bowl and shutoff valve? Thx skk
