Farmall 140-Fuel delivery problems

After years of running flawlessly my 140 is having some fuel delivery problems. I changed the fuel strainer and inline fuel filter. The strainer I replaced had a rolled brass screen in the top and I did not replace it with the new strainer. There is a separate fuel filter between the strainer and the carb. The tractor will stall after 10 minutes of idling on flat ground and when going up hills. Could it be the fuel filter I replaced or the lack of a brass screen inserted in the strainer? Is it possible that the fuel filter, bought at AutoZone, limits fuel flow?
