I've never had a SA tranny apart to see what the gear train looks like....I suppose a person could refer to a repair manual and get an idea....but putting your hands on the real McCoy would be the best.I have no idea if the engineers that designed the transmission case only allowed enough room for the gears they would use....or made it larger than necessary. Maybe somebody who is familiar with the transmission innards will chime in and offer an opinion.
