I am in the middle of going through the steering box on my A. I have it all taken apart but cannot figure out how to get the top bearing off the sector gear shaft. Snap ring is off.The bushings are wasted on both ends of the steering box, are these hard to come by, dealer item maybe?
I would prefer to do this right after wrestling the front axle off,bushings, seals, gaskets. I dont want to throw the torch to it if i dont have to.
I have read in the archives that bearings and such are not a problem,but i would like to change out all bad parts while it is apart. Thanks Chuck Davis
