While trying to pull the head off my H I found that it was hanging up in the rear on a fitting on the the back of the head which the parts book shows is for a head vent tube. This tube supposedly runs to the air cleaner. It's missing. The fitting catches on the hole in the vertical support directly behind the block which holds the instruments. How important is this missing tube? Should it be replaced? Apparently the tractor was run without it in the past. Hopefully by removing the 1 gal fuel tank I can get to the fitting through the hole to remove it. If not, can't see how the head will come off without removing the studs. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance. Don
