Hey guys, have a question on the removal of the clutch housing from the transmission case...I am in the process of restoring this 42 H and I had to get into the transmission to replace a gear and a few bearings. I have the belly pump out and the clutch shaft unhooked, I would like to split the two housings but am having trouble doing so, I have the two top bolts out and the four bolts inside, I can wiggle it, but cant get it loose. I am wondering if I am just hung up on the dowel on each side for alignment? I noticed they are threaded. I also noticed a "plug" in-between the two casings....could I be hung up on this? I would like to have it off to make it easier to get to the gears and for cleaning to get ready for paint...thanks guys...sorrry for the long post
