Have any of you ran a hydraulic pump off the belt pulley on your M?
I think there must be some way to remove the pulley itself and replace it with an "adapter plate" with a PTO stub shaft welded to the adapter, in order to run a PTO driven hydraulic pump.
I know the pump would stop whenever the clutch is disengaged, but that's not important to me.
I'm open to any and all suggestions (and/or PICTURES) of how to get some hydraulic use out of a belt pulley that is currently just getting a "free ride" on my tractor,... and maybe provide an extra 2-4 hydraulic outlets on my M.
I have an extra tank and valves sitting in the shed just itching to be used on "something".
Right now, I have a Dual Loader that runs off the M's live pump, and a Saginaw 3pt. that runs off the belly pump,... so the belt pulley ISN'T being used at all.
I don't want to put a pump on the M's PTO, because I'd have to remove it every time I mow.
Any ideas, or am I just dreaming about something that's not feasible? LOL
