The heads of the 2 front bolts on the steering gearbox cover have rubbed small holes in the front sheet metal grille on my 47 M. The two front bolts have a thin external tooth lock washer instead of regular thicker helical washer used on the other 3 cover bolts....I assume to help reduce the height of the bolts for more "clearance" to the grille. I have seen the same holes on another M grille also. How common is this? Is it possible to raise the radiator on its mounts or tip the radiator with the rod over the engine to eliminate the interference? If so, will this have any significant effect on getting the rest of the sheet metal to line up? Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.
