I am making progress on the front end rebuild of my 606, but have run into a new problem. I rebushed the front bracket and have a new pin that is 1.75" I can get the front axle on, but when I go to attach the link arms of the axle underneath, they are under extreme tension to get bolted up. If I attach the rear axle link first the axle hole is at the wrong angle(pointing slightly at the ground in front of the tractor.
I am thinking I will have to reduce the diameter of the pin where it goes through the axle to relieve this pressure when the link arms are bolted up. This will give a sloppier fit in the pin axle interface though.
Has anyone had experience with this?
Should those axle link arms be under some pressure when bolted into position?
Does anyone know the factory diameter of the factory pivot pin and axle pivot hole?
