Take a look at the photo. Please tell a real beginner what he's looking at. Left to right, distributor, distributor housing, and distributor bracket off an H. If I should take this group apart at the arrows tell me what I can expect? Since this system of housings is so closely associated with the oil filler housing I'm wondering whether there's gonna be oil involved with this disassembly. If I disassemble to do some cleaning can I get this back together with the appropriate, new, gaskets? Also this tractor used to run with an alternator. Does anything here need to be changed/replaced if I choose to go with a generator system on the restoration? Finally ... would someone be able to send along a good closeup photo of the right side of an H engine block showing the electrical setup complete with a 12 volt generator system?
