Around here we are the Research and we have 87-89-93 . And if you are FARMING and i said FARMING with a 4or 6 cylinder gasser BUILT after 1958 then it is in your best interest to run the 93 or you can go to the friendly Case I H deal and for the small fee last time we got a set it was 176 and change a hole for new pistons and sleeves . And it like this myself i really don't care if you have a melt down it is no skin off my nose or money out of my pocket . I can tell ya this , that i have worked on bought and sold more 560 706 gassers then anybody on here I have owned and farmed with 706 gassers more then anything else , First off they were Cheap they got the job done even my combine was a gasser i only had to buy one fuel GAS for the car truck lawn mower tractor combine . I have always bought hightest . My 73 F250 Ford 4X4 had a 428 SCJ and it needed hightest , my 78 F250 4X4 had a 69 460 with a 11 to1 and it needed hightest. my 88F350 with a 460 did not need hightest BUt i found out that on the road on 87 i got 11 MPG 89 got 12 and with 93 i got 14 and back then there was only a few cents apart . And the tractor got the same now that we can only get the 93 it does vary well so don't try and tell me that we Don't NEED the 93 as i also have the lab report on how the 87 burns and how the 93 burns . Keep in mind here the org. pistons that USE to be in tractors WERE FORGED, Now they are Cast and CAST can not transfer heat to the ways like a forged can . Been down this rad more then i care to cover. When you have worked on them for a living for people that still make a living with them like i did and know them like i know them then you can tell me . Like i have said before i am not the one looking to solve a problem but i am the one that can solve the problem . No i do not know everything as i am still learning . I know my Farmalls my older FORDS AND THE OLDER MOPARS.

Today's Featured Article - Tuning Up Your Tractor: Cooling and Fuel Systems, Hoses and Belts - by Curtis Von Fange. Our tractor is coming right along. The old oil and filter has been taken to the recycler and the air filter replacement has breathed new life into our motor. Let's take a closer look, now, at the cooling system since it has to work so hard in the summer heat. Cooling systems can be real cantankerous in their old age. Radiator cores clog up with rust, lime or other mineral deposits and the fins clog up with weed seeds and debris. The metal headers slowly corrode away from years of use and ... [Read Article]
