Ran out of funds for my 1949 C (which was my grandfather's) so I buttoned her back up and saw what the fruits of my labor was. This past spring it was all electrical & fueling. I figured if I had any major mechanical issues, they would surface after that. With a little prompting she fired right up. Starts and runs very well. The only major item I can see is that one half of the touch control does not work. I did drain the unit and clean the filter. When it was empty, I could manuever both sections forward and back manually. However, the lever on the right side (when you're on it) always felt like it was binding. Once I started the tractor and pressure built, that cylinder moved to the forward postion and will not respond to the control. In fact, if I force that lever a bit, the good cylinder will move. I haven't much intention of using the hydraulics, but I would like them to work. Anybody have any ideas and a go to for repairs on the touch control maybe in Michigan or at least the midwest? Thanks for all your help!
