I just started the process of restoring my 1950 Cub. It is unusual because it is equipped with a low speed kit on the left side of the differential and mounted where the left wheel would normally be attached to the differential. It slows the forward speed making enough power for the attached rototiller and other attachments, like the fast hitch woods mower. The tractor locked up in gear when doing some landscaping with the grader blace hence the reason for the restoration. I am confident the problem is in the low speed gear box because transmission inspections shows no missing gears or teeth. In the event the low speed shift unit is toast, I am starting a search to find if another unit might be available to replace the original. I appreciate any information you folks might know about available units.
