I hope all you are pushing is a "little snow" this winter. If you are using the factory setup, you stand a good chance of breaking the engine casting near where the lower water pipe passes through. Cubs do not have enough weight to handle more than six inches of wet snow. Make sure the four bolts that connect the block to the front end are always tight. Think about making a plow frame that runs back to the drawbar or drawbar mounting holes. Don't even think about pushing back refrozen snow piles.
I would advise against restricting air flow to a thermosyphen cooling system.
