Hi lft, A ford solenoid will not work with constant voltage supplied to the hold-in coil winding as it will burn out in about 5 minutes. Ask me how I know! Yes I tried it. It's not like a valve solenoid that can stay hot all the time. Oh how I wish in could as I could think of alot of uses for it. T_Bone

It was powered by either a high-compression gas engine or a distillate version with lower compression.
