I have a Farmall 240 and am having problems with the hydraulic system. The rear draw bar / three point hitch does go up and down; however it cannot lift any weight. If I lift it with no weight on it then stand on it, it will NOT go down, not unless I bring it down with the lever. I've looked every where to find out how much hydraulic fluid to add without any luck. Also is there a way to check the levels of the fluid? Do I need to bleed the system? If so how? I've added two gallons of trans-hydraulic fluid to the rear end box but this didn't help.
