sorry to post this I just can't figure it out. I have read lots of old post that I found which is quite a few. Still can't figure it out.
My 706D with the 282 only clicks when I hit the start button. If I keep hitting it it will most times engage the starter eventually. If I jump the solenoid it will start right off (maybe this is just lucky). I think the starter is OK, so that leaves me with solenoid or batteries and alternator. It Use to start right up even in the winter. Took the neg cable off while it was running and it continued to run.
