I'm in the process of rebuilding a C153 out of my 504. The manual doesn't mention anything about timing marks, which I found odd. The cam gear has two sets of marks. One mark is at the root of a tooth, and almost 180 degrees around, there are two teeth next to each other that have marks on the peaks. I would assume that the single mark lines up with the crank, and the double marks line up with the distributor / governor drive gear. Does anyone know if this is the correct alignment? Thanks -
