??Starter side of the cutout relay?? Your cutout relay goes between your 3 brush 1-wire genny, and your amp gauge... On the 9n/2n, a wire from the battery goes tot he starter switch, and then another wire from the other side of the starter switch to the starter. So.. what exactly are you trying to figure out? The start switch is mechanical. you have power on one side.. and when it makes contact you have power to the starter. The cutout will have battery power on one side.. and the genny side will not have power unless the engine is running. I think you better check your wire diagram... Soundguy
