Ok folks, this sort of started on the Allis Chalmers.com forum, but we'll see what'll happen... I think it's Enesco that makes those John Deere baby/toddler toys. I got the thinking that wouldn't it be better to the child's brain if he/she were exposed to more real farm equipment toys? I mean, why start with these things that don't even represent any piece of farm equipment from 2001 or before and get ERTLs or Scale Models instead? I can see that they may have sharp points or choking hazards, but these can be worked around. Go with full 1/8 scale! Combines which open in half and have a book in them? Tractors with faces and talking? No operator? Bob the Builder is another cartoon that has to be dealt with. He hangs out on the side while the machine talks and moves be itself. I thought the manual said only to operate from the operator's seat? It's just a thought. Why start out with "toys" and have a scaled down version of the real thing? Maybe someone will give another point of view we can think about. This isn't a down in the dirt fight now. We'll see what will happen. Happy Holidays to all!
