The great oil debate!

I just read in the archives section about oil in older tractors. I have always been told to use non-detergent oil. This article said that you should definetly be using detergent oil. Does anyone agree disagree. I would rather use detergent always have it in bulk on hand. But still up in the air on this one. Thanks in advance. Bill [Antique Acres]
