If you are running the backhoe with a front mounted pump, put a gauge on the main line and make sure you are not putting out more than 2000 psi. If not then your pump is worn to the point that it is by passing the gears and blowing the seal out. If you are putting out more than 2000 psi., reduce it at the bypass safety valve.
