I have a Ford 4000 (Gas) 1963-65. I did a minor overhaul. It ran and I made some adjustments. I reconnected the dash and headlights that were disconnected when I bought the tractor. After I did this, the tractor would start and run fine for a minute or two. When this would happen, I would get a 6 volt reading at the distibutor when the key was in the off position. I would check a few things and recheck the volt reading at the distibutor and get no reading unless I turned the key on. The tractor would then start. I disconnected the lights tec. that I hooked up and it started and ran perfect for 30 to 40 minutes then just shut down. I again got a 6 volt reading at the distibutor with the key off and nothing with it on. I waited about 15 minutes and it started back up, then shut off. I have replaced the wire, cap rotor, points, coil, & condenser. I am about ready to replace the switch and selinoid. Any ideas or fixs?????
