Are you starting this tractor using a battery charger on the battery? The available info is too little to do remote trouble shooting with a high level of success. My best guess is the battery is weak or being drained excessively and the generator is not putting out. The next time you start the tractor, immediately disconnect the battery. If the engine shuts down the generator is not putting out. Pls. provide more input as you work on the tractor.
