I've got a 66' Ford 3000 with a 2 stage or live PTO. The problem is the clutch doesn't engage or disengage the transmission or pto properly. It is extremly bad with the transmission, as sometimes it won't go into or come out of gear at all. But, by the same token, sometimes it shifts as smooth as a new one. It is not near as bad with the PTO, but again sometimes it is worse than others. As for now I am more concern about the tranny. I know of the clutch pedal adjustment on the underside of the left hand side of the tractor(if you were sitting on it) and I have the adjustment specs (according to the op's manual). I'm going to check it out tomorrow. I'm also guessing the transmission fluid and filter needs to be changed. I'm guessing on using 134d oil to replace it, seems like that's what everybody here recomends. Is there anything else that could be wrong? Am I looking at a possible major rebuild? Are they any other adjustments that could be needed? I'll post the results of the clutch pedal adjustment and the quality of the trans. oil. Thanks in advance. Casey
