The Best Grease?

What is the best grease you've found for heavy equipment, implements, drivelines, electric motors, etc., used outdoors in dirt, sand, rocks and water.
I'm looking for two different categeries:
1. plain bearings that just work back and forth.
2. Anti friction bearings (roller, ball) 1,000-3,000 RPM.
