The picture is of the left side brake drum on my ford 3600. I have had that gear puller on it for days now. I have sprayed tons of WD and PB on the area where the axel hub and drum come together. I have tapped on it with a small hammer, I have beat on it real hard with my 4lb hammer, i finally tried heating the hub, no help. I tried heating the drum between the wheel studs, still no help. The gear puller is as tight as i can make it go with a 14" cresent wrench. I finally welded some tabs on the end of each puller arm and and beat them with the 4lb until they were mushroomed out. Drum didn't budge an inch. I made sure that the brake pads were adjusted all the way in and called the local dealership and got no advise other than what I was already doing. HELP!!, The tractor has basically no brakes now, I need to get that drum off. This is the first brake drum I have ever tried to remove and it has me beat up to this point. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
