Yessir I would recommend a rotory. If your just keeping it clean I would get a Howse or International bushhog. Whichever is cheaper. They shouldn't cost over $550, that's about the price here. If you keep oil in the box and wash them off and wash underneath at the seasons end either will last years and years with out break down or rust out in light duty like this.. Yeah I know what you mean on the slow mowing, that's what I mean about plenty of stick time if the grass is high with a finish mower. We use finish mowers on the turf, but bushhogs on everything else. I think you would be alot happier to do it that way. If you have a large adjoining lawn, then the finish mower could be alright for both places, just slow in tall grass. But a beautiful cut.
