I would install new plugs to see if they're the problem. You should pull the coil wire from the cap and hold it within 1/8-1/4" of a good ground on the tractor's frame. Then have somone crank the engine and see what the spark looks like. It should be hot and blue. If it is I would replace the cap and rotor. If the fire is weak from the coil wire I would replace the points if they're pitted. I would clean the old points until nice and shiny with some 320 wet or dry. I would replace the condenser to eleminate it. Make sure you check the point gap, it should be at .013". If this doesn't improve the power you may have a weak coil. Hal PS: The plug wires may need replacing. You need wires with copper wire when using a mag.
