inline filters and champion plugs????

rustyfarmall had said that autolite plugs are way better then champion, and inline filters are nothing but problumes...... if i dont have a miss in the engine what would autolite do for me that the champion can't? mabey auto lite might last longer but if there is no miss why would it matter? How about a inline filter? the screen was missing on my carb so i added a inline filter. Rusty also said that they are nothing but trouble. I have a H that had a plugged screen so i cleaned it and also added a inline filter. i went to check the carb screen 6 months later and the carb screen was clean as new. what is so bad about a inline filter? the ones i use you can change the filter and it only takes a min. since the inline did such a good job do you think i need to use the i.h. filter screen on the carb? ( i will get one anyways but i will still use the inline) the inline filter catches smaller stuff the carb filter would let by. I am open to all comments.. i realize it is best to use both filters, the carb one and a inline for added protection. but i don't understand the spark plug thing. i could understand putting in better plugs in a car that has hard to change plugs like a astrovan. i put the split fire platiums in the astro and the 8mm wire as there a b!tch to change in the van.
