Bob, I don't have the timing cover off yet. I just hope that the crank gear isn't shot! I am surprised that you didn't find more damaged gears. I was given a Ditch Witch Trencher powered by a Wisconsin V-4. I thought that it just needed a bellhousing and a tune-up (ran erratic). I took the governor cover off and thats when the fun began. I ended up replacing all the gears on the front of the engine. It was not cheap! I hope that I don't run into that this time! If you have time to post the pictures I would like to see them. Thanks
