Been there, done that!! You describe EXACTLY the problem I found on my Super M a couple years ago. Turned out the keeper holding the camshaft nut had worked loose, then the nut unscrewed and dropped off allowing the cam gear to flop around on the camshaft until the key wore out. Don't think the problem was directly related to the live pump. However 40+ years of hard work (countless lifts of a cultimulcher and mounted corn picker) I'm sure didn't help. Replacing the cam gear and key restored the tractor to like new. I took several digital pix of the cam gear replacement. If you are interested I'll post them in a shared album. ...Bob M
