Farmall friends that drive Chevy trucks

I've cruised the web looking for tech support on a question and haven't had much luck so you farmall friends might be able to help. We did a Chev truck last week, 1988,complete brakes, new master cylinder, calipers, rotors,pads in front, new wheel cylinders, shoes,spring kits in rear, in other words every thing new...and after bleeding the system we have the poorest performing brakes, no better than before. We have checked the size of the pistons and wheel cylinders to make sure they are the correct size for the system, a new master cylinder changed nothing. we rebled the system...no air bubbles anywhere. Since everything is new we are stumped..what could cause this poor brake response...you couldn't slide the wheels if you tried..rears are set up , the drums were turned...H brakes are child's play compared to this ...will appreciate any tips, any help line addresses..thanks...MIke in Exeter Ontario
