I was wondering if any of you Farmallers had some small buisness ideas. I live in rural farming area where good paying jobs are few and hard to get. I myself, am a good sized hobby farmer and work seasonal for large farmer. Seems like welders, carpenters, and mechanics and so on are a dime a dozen in my area. Makes it hard to pick up a worth while doing side line. Been thinking of starting a small buisness that would involve the production of something, or one that would be of service or construction. I am a fairly able to do anything type person. Would want to do something in spare time to start with and if proved to be demanding and prosporous would consider making it a full time buisness with perhaps an employee or two. Most of the ideas I have come up with, have either been non-demanding or to much competition. Any ideas? What do you all do for sidelines or small buisnesses? Maybe an outside opinion or idea is just what I need, to get something started in my area.
