I DO disticnctly remember the dropping. There was a little stiff spot in the lift handle/control as you pused it forward. If you just lifted it over the tang and let it drop it would hang. Had to give it a little push.
It was only in the discussion a few weeks back that I found out there was a reason.
Left port delayed? I suppose my dad might have had left hose on left side. Maybe he never knew about it. This tractor forum is bringing up a lot of questions I wish I could ask him, but haven't been able to do that for 15 years :(
