Bah, there's no such thing as an IH baler that can tie a knot... They work okay for a little while when they're new, but once they get a few thousand bales through 'em, they're impossible. I don't know how many times we had the dealer send a mechanic over to adjust both the 430 and 435 balers we had, and they could never make them tie worth a hoot. Dad finally gave up and bought a NewHolland, and that only misses when it switches twine, or if the hay is too tough to bale. I say this because I don't think switching the knotters is going to help. It's the same flawed design on the 45, 46, 47, 430, 440... Notice IH doesn't make their own balers anymore? They buy 'em and repaint them.
