We have 2 farmall 140s, later models with the international decals, probably late 60s-70s model. Both of them want to pop out of 4th gear going down hill with a load. One is bad enough to where it pops out with just an empty 20ft flat hay wagon on the back, while the other is alright until there is something like 2 empty flats or around that weight. They both wine quite a bit in all gears, but esp 4th. I have never had them apart. They both will top out at around 14 mph. I understand that this means they have the optional high road gear. What would cause the tractor to jump out of gear and wine a lot in most any gear, varies with the load and whether it is pushing or pulling the tractor. Thanks for the help. I am thinking these tractors might be worth fixing up. One is in good shape but needs this and a motor overhaul, while the other has had the front end welded, needs brakes, but has a good motor. Both have fairly new heads on them. Thanks in advance. Hurst

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
