I forgot to note that I have been using the grounding point of the negative cable as my meter negative, that connection and cable is new, so my ground is good. Both battery terminals were cleaned with a terminal brush and the battery was freshly charged when installed and has only dropped from 12.54v to 12.15v. I also forgot to note that I found a burned wire in the original voltage regulator from what appears to be water leakage under the cover seal. I exchanged that out. Could it have damaged the windings on the generator/starter motor????? Thanks for all of the help. I know I can fix this, I fix things that are a lot more complex and that's what makes this so frustrating....
