Ok, I pulled the valve cover off and was unpleasantly surprised with a little bit of coolant in a couple of the recesses by the valves, it was a minute amount and by no means does it look to have mixed with the oil at all maybe a teaspoon, I also checked my upper rad hose while I was standing on the tractor and noticed a little split in it which I guess if the gasket was not seated correctly or worn out could have caused a little coolant to get in. All of my valves are moving when I crank the engine and nothing appears to be bent or broken. What kind of problem could I potentially be looking at in regards to the coolant? A cracked head or am I making a mounain out of a mole hill? Now that I have it off I know I can use the tune-up specs to adjust the valves can anyone else tell me which of the tractors in the list have the same engine as mine? 264 CID I think as it by emblem is a W450D but has a W400D engine in it. What kind of feeler guage do I need?
