I am trying to solve a weak spark problem. What is the correct battery and battery cable for a 1968 IH 444? It has a 12v battery with 475 cca on it now. I have no idea how old it is. I think i need to start by replacing the battery, and ground strap cable and positive cable to the starter.
I still have to test voltage and resitance in various areas. Electrical things have not exactly been my bag. Some ideas I have found in the archives, but time has been tight the last few months. The next two weeks open up a bit, so hopefully I can get her started again.
Any ideas on where to start would be appreciated, including battery size, voltage regulator resistance, voltage at coil, etc. I am also thinking of installing an electronic ignition and getting rid of the points.
I have had other starting issues i the last few months, a new coil helped for awhile, trying to time it made it run better for a little bit, carb rebuild helped for a bit... but nothing I tried helped eveything. Jump starting got it running the last time she ran, but not since. still it seemed like it was not burning everything based on the look of the exahust.

Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
