I just bought a 50 MD, that hasn't been started in a year. Have cleaned the carb., and have discovered that to start it you evidently have to push one lever completely forward to turn on the gas to the float in the carb. What position does the rod for the linkage to the fuel pump go? Also while cleaning out the air breather discovered something in the bottom, is there a media supposed to be in there or do I have sludge?
