Got the tractor all back together. Trans shifts well w/ engine not running. I adjusted the clutch and ta by the book. 1" freeplay on clutch, when ya start tractor in neutral, clutch is disengaged as it should be, but when you try to shift into first it just grinds. I then adjusted it to the end of the rod in slow increments at a time. My results never changed, still grinding. I even used a cheat rod to make it longer, and my results were still the same except the clutch pedal bottomed out. I know this because from looking the inspection plate the three p.plate fingers were against the plate housing at their max. The only thing that I can think of is the flywheel friction surface will have to be machined to let the p.plate release. I"m I correct or not any suggestions would be great before I split again. Thanks
