Yesterday I drained the trans fluid from the drain plug where the tractor splits (706 D-282). I did this to change the gasket on the small inspection plate(?)right to the front of that plug which was leaking badly. The plate is about 12" x 4". First, what does this opening give access to? Second, when I pulled the plate off to clean it there was a grease fitting about two inches long sitting in there. What does that fitting belong to? I noticed a fitting sized hole in the drive train at the top of this opening, could that be where this fitting belongs? All advice appreciated...RR
