I just finished a F-12 rebuild. Before rebuild it read medium to high on an old JD gauge. Now it pegs the same gauge even at low idle.
Full tear down. New cam bearings, old rod & bottom bearings. New pleated oil filter as old one was metal 'washable.' Have good oil flow to rockers. I did disassemble the oil filter base during restore, but has been more than five years so may have reassembled incorrectly.
I have an appropriate gauge for F-12 en route, but suspect I will still have high oil pressure.
What should the pressure be? Is there a relief valve I should check? Do I have a real problem?
