I checked the voltage with the points closed. It was about 6.5. It was 13 when the were open.
I also checked the resistance at the coil as you mentioned. It was 335 ohms. Is that possible?
It sounds like I need a new coil. Should I stick with a 6 V coil? I am going to get a new set of points, too.
