Want to advertise for a rebuildable 307 for my '68 C-30. Current 350 not worn out but burns too much gas with 5.13 ratio. Reason for swap was Dad was tired of rebuilding 307 and was told 4-bolt 350 would take the RPM better. I was pretty young back then so I don't know the specific failures of the 307, but I do know that truck did time on the Ohio Turnpike between Cleveland and Monroeville PA. on a regular basis. Truck not serving long-distance duty any more, is it safe to go back to the 307, or is there another small displacement choice that would be period-correct? Thanks, Fritz
